PEMIKIRAN IBNU KHLDUN TENTANG PENDIDIKAN DAN RELEVANSINYA DENGAN PENDIDIKAN DUNIA MODERN

Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Ibnu Khaldun,Pendidikan Modern, Relevansi.
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the thought of Ibn Khaldun on education and its relevance to the education of the modern world. This study uses a qualitative approach (Library Research) and then analyzes the sources collected and concluded in the paper. The results of this paper are discussing several categories including a brief biography of Ibn Khaldun Ibn Khaldun's Full Name is Abdul Al Rahman Ibnu Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr Muhammad ibn al-Hasan Ibnu Khaldun. He is known by the greeting of Ibn Khaldun and nicknamed as the father of sociologists. He also believes that education is not only a process of teaching and learning that is limited by space and time, but education is a process where students are able to live, absorb and even capture from natural events throughout the ages. Therefore, he asserted that science and education are social phenomena that characterize human types. Ibn Khaldun's thoughts are also very relevant to modern education when viewed from various aspects, namely educators, learning methods, curriculum and educational goals.
