THE INTEGRATION OF ISLAMIC KNOWLEDGE IN THE CHARACTER FORMATION OF STUDENTS THROUGH FIQH EDUCATION IN MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH

Abstract


The Fiqh subject is part of the Islamic Studies curriculum in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah and is designed to provide motivation, guidance, and direction, and develop fundamental skills to students. Additionally, its objective is to instill an appreciation of the history contained in the Qur'an and Sunnah, with the hope that students will have faith and piety towards Allah, as taught in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Fiqh knowledge in MI also helps in building the character and morals of the students through materials related to worship (ibadah) and transactions (muamalah). Fiqh teaches students to understand the correct practice of worship in daily life and to possess good character. Like other disciplines, the mission of Fiqh is to enrich the life of the nation and enhance the quality of individuals who have faith and piety towards the One Almighty God.
