KANDUNGAN TOTAL ZAT PADAT TERSUSPENSI DARI OUTLET TAMBAK UDANG INTENSIF DI KABUPATEN JEPARA

Abstract


ABSTRACT

Suspended solids from intensive shrimp ponds, i.e.detritus, is derived from feed residue and wasteon the pond bottom. Suspended solids hinder the capabilities of organic production. The penetration of sunlight is hardly effective because it was blocked by these substances, hence the process of photosynthesis is not happening if the primary productivity of waters hampered. The aim of research is to find the content of total suspended solids wasted from intensive shrimp ponds through outlet channels. The location of research is in the area of intensive shrimp ponds belongs to BBPBAP Jepara. This research usedsurvey method within descriptive analysis of data. TSS (Total Suspended Solid) concentration change of intensive shrimp pond in the main outlet (MO1) 56.74 mg/lt before harvest and increased 244.32 mg/lt with a difference range 187.58 mg/lt; MO2 coud be reached 55.48 mg/ltr before harvest and 251.32 mg/ltrat harvest with the difference195.84 mg/ltr. Waste cultivation is a source of pollution that must be overcome due to an increase increased of TSS thatit needs treatment to be released to the sea.

ABSTRAK

Padatan tersuspensi dari tambak udang intensif berupa detritus dari sisa pakan dan kotoran di dasar tambak. Padatan tersuspensi menghalangi kemampuan produksi zat organik. Penetrasi sinar matahari tidak bisa efektif karena diblokir oleh zat ini, sehingga proses fotosintesis tidak dapat terjadi baik akibat produktivitas primer perairan menjadi terganggu. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kandungan padatan tersuspensi total yang dibuang dari tambak udang intensif melalui saluran outlet. Lokasi penelitian di daerah tambak udang intensif milik BBPBAP Jepara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan analisis deskriptif terhadap data. Perubahan konsentrasi TSS (Total Suspended Solid) tambak udang intensif di outlet utama (MO1) sebesar 56,74 mg/lt sebelum panen dan meningkat 244,32 mg/lt pada panen dengan perbedaan 187,58 mg/lt; pada MO2 sebesar 55,48 mg/ltr sebelum dipanen dan mencapai 251,32 mg/ltr saat panen dengan selisih 195,84 mg/ltr. Limbah budidaya merupakan sumber pencemaran yang harus diatasi karena adanya peningkatan kandungan TSS, sehingga perlu perawatan sebelum dilepas ke laut.
